The time of our national waistline expansion is approaching, and this time Girl Scout cookie season won’t be limited only to those who can tolerate gluten: The girls’ group announced that the 2015 season will include three new flavors, two of which are gluten-free.
The Girl Scouts wrote in a blog post that most council nationwide will have the new options available for sale this year: Toffee-tastic (Gluten-free, “buttery cookies with toffee bits”); Trios(Gluten-free cookie “made with real peanut butter, chocolate chips, and whole grain oats”) and Rah-Rah Raisins (oatmeal raisin cookie with “whole grain oats, plump, juicy raisins, and Greek yogurt–flavored chunks”).
Though be careful before you get your heart set on something new — “Not all varieties are available in every market, so contact your local council to inquire about the cookies they will carry this season,” the Girl Scouts advise.
